Saving the almost extinct vaquita porpoise

Illegal fishermen in northern Mexico are being blamed for driving the world’s most endangered marine mammal to the brink of extinction.

The vaquita lives only in the Sea of Cortez, and there are just 30 left.

A team of international scientists and conservationists is battling to save the small and rarely seen porpoise.

Al Jazeera’s John Holman reports from San Felipe.
