Stand Fast: 40 Years Defending Seals

Sea Shepherd has been defending seals since our earliest campaigns in Canada’s Gulf of St-Lawrence, where over 180,000 newborn seal pups were being clubbed annually for their fur. After decades of Sea Shepherd’s direct actions exposing the atrocities of the commercial seal slaughter to the public, the European Union finally banned the import of seal products.
