Things will become a lot worse before they get better: Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
The latest IPCC report warns of devastating consequences from past and present emissions, stating that the 1.5 deg C threshold for rise in temperature will be breached by the year 2040. However, the report also says that things will become a lot worse before they get better.
