The Bomb-Sniffing Rats Saving Lives In Mozambique

During Mozambique’s bloody civil war, land mines were placed near schools, bridges and villages. After the war, de-mining the country took some serious work. Enter bomb-sniffing rats. The rodents are taught from infancy to sniff out bombs and have helped reduce detection time and costs, leading to a more stable and prosperous Mozambique. A Great Big Story by our friend Dan the Director.
